Marette has been sharing thoughts, songs and being a part of mission since she left home after graduating High School. At age 18 she was a part of a team to England, and since then has been active in missions, both traveling and supporting. Other trips have included Jamaica, Africa twice, many trips in the domestic US and supporting friends in their mission adventures. Her first book was writing Don Hunt’s book, “The Overcomer” in 1984 and spend several years traveling, singing and helping churches with revival meetings, and encouraging young people. 1984 her family became sick and she returned to Minnesota to help on the farm. One of her adventures during that time was pianist for a southern gospel quartet, The Sounds of Praise. She married Jim in 1988, and they have farmed in southern Minnesota, living on the Jorgenson family farm and raising kids while having lots of other people live with them. Between 4H, the Horse stable, mission trips and singing, the family kept busy and traveled while the kids were young in concerts. The kids have since begun lives of their own. Addlea, a teacher for several years including living in Singapore, is married to Brock, they farm in Illinois and have one toddler and another one on the way. The youngest, Baihley, lives in Rochester, loves to camp and travel, is a school Psychologist and has two dogs and a boyfriend, Andrews. The adventures now include visiting grandchildren, speaking and singing, teaching and though still running the family farm, figuring out what the next step is and where God will open doors.
